A Visit from Beckham February 8, 2011
Today we had a visit from Gillian and Beckham from the D.S.P.C.A. (Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Gillian told us all about how Beckham came to the D.S.P.C.A. It was a really sad story but now he lives with Gillian and he has a really nice life. Gillian and Beckham visit schools all over Dublin to teach children how to look after their pets. We also got to pet Beckham at the end. 🙂
If you want to find out more about The D.S.P.C.A you can visit their website www.dspca.ie
or you can email your questions to Gillian at firstname.lastname@example.org

Science Visit – Dr. Senge January 31, 2011
Check out our photos and reports on the science visit from Dr. Senge from Trinity College Dublin.
Last Wednesday, our class went to Mr. Kelly’s class. There was a man called Dr. Senge. He made ice cream and he had a really cold liquid chemical. He put a banana in a bowl of water and it froze solid in a minute. Then he brought us outside and he made a bowl go on fire. It was very cool. He also made a volcano. The other classes were there too and Mr. Kelly’s class made volcanoes with Dr. Senge.
Yesterday a man came in to show us how to make ice cream. It was easy to do it. There were 5 groups .Dr Senge had a very cold liquid chemical. We made ice cream. We got to eat it. Then he took us outside and then we saw him make a volcano and some fire works. Then he made some little bits of metal disappear. It was fun and very good.
